Evening Class Photography 1 - getting started

Time: 6:30-8:30, Mondays

Date: 6 classes in 7 weeks 14.2.-28.3. (no class on 21.3.)

During class you will get more confident with your camera and automatic modes, had an introduction in composing pictures and safe pictures on PC. We will look into landscape, macro, people photography and flash. This is for compact & SLR cameras. We recommend Photography 1 before Photography 2 (offered later this year). we have designed the courses to complement each other. Katharina brings many years of photography experience in both Europe and NZ into her teaching.

Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom - beginners

Time: 6:30-8:30, Wednesday

Date: 4 weeks ; 16.2.-9.3.

This course will help you to make sense of the basics of image manipulation in Photoshop CS4 and Lightroom. You will learn about digital images (mega-pixels, dpi, resolution etc) and tools that you can use to enhance your pictures. Photoshop is available on school computers; if you would like to practice Lightroom please bring own laptop with you. This course is great if you are thinking of purchasing the software or already got it and want to get started on your photoshop adventure. Tip: download the trial version during the class to practice at home if you don't have the software yet.
